jllozano is on a distinguished road
correct sorry for the confusion...and about the magnetic pull...i believe tim over at the bareknuckles forums said that it is not really a problem that you can place it 2mm from the strings if you want...thats the way i have it approximately, and no problems with sustain

zilong will become famous soon enough
Here's a much better clip (featuring real mic!) that shows some difference between some pickups. A friend was over today with his guitar with Miracle Man (but not the one with the C-pig =\), so I wanted to hear if they were different much. I played two riffs three times, first with my Nailbomb guitar, then my friend's MM guitar, then my Ibanez with the Adder. The guitars themselves do differ, but that can't be helped. The amp settings and mic location/settings were left the same.

MP3Lizard.com: Downloading comparison...

The MM is much smoother than the NB for sure, but I think the NB's mid growl is well worth it =) I never knew the Adder was louder than both of them, though.

And oops, I put in a rough version of the MM clip by mistake, pardon the mistakes on that simple first riff.

I called Tim this morning. He said the pickups were still in production and that he would ship them on Monday. That would mean I'd get them the following Monday (6/23). I expected them to be done by now, but that's the nature of a custom shop sometimes you know? The build times can vary depending on how many orders he had on his plate. I'm sure it'll be worth the wait.

Haha, cool. The pickups will completed and ready to go any day now I'm sure. Every BK pickup is custom made to order, there are no extra pickups 'hanging around' in the shop. So, just be patient guys while Tim works his magic

Has there been any word on shipping yet Nick? Not to seem over-anxious but I'd expect him to be able to wrap up an order within 30 days, no? Last I heard you were saying Monday, did he ship them out? My last order was placed around Christmas time when he was busy and I got it within 3 weeks (and it was shipped from UK --> Hawaii --> PA within that time) so I'm just wondering what happend.

Matt, with a custom shop sometimes things can get held up. It has nothing to do with me, as I don't build the pickups. The previous orders I placed arrived much faster as well, but there's a reason. Here's what Tim emailed me today in response to my email asking if it shipped on Monday...

I know you're itching to get your pickup; you're in the same boat as myself, the others who are on the order, and everyone worldwide who placed orders with other dealers. It's never fun when things get delayed a couple weeks, but it can happen now and then. Sorry dude, it'll be worth the wait I'm sure.
