It's out of my hands, ENGL has another dealer south of Boston that they wanted to remain exclusive with.

PS: I should have said "other cool amps', not 'better', my bad.

i just looked at their in stock and they only have one kind of SE, and no Invaders or savages, which sucks teh dick seeing as they carry everything else.

which worries me a tad as they look like they carry everything else that Zim wants to carry aswell.

yeah, that's part of why it sucks so much...plus i've heard stories about the owner there being kind of a douche. never had an opportunity to go myself to see, though.

Yeah I told ENGL we would have much more consistent stock in, and be a better fit for them, but they were like "maybe in the future blah blah". It's their loss, BGW is not a very nice place.

You do realize that the only difference between the "two" SE models is the color of the LEDs behind the tubes, the color of the power switch, and which tubes they ship with, right? The SE has a switch you set for 6L6s or EL34s, then you bias appropriately (which is really easy since it has a built in bias gauge and the pot for it is right next to the tubes).

The "EL34" model has blue LEDs/switch and ships with EL34s, the "6L6" model has red LEDs and power switch and ships with 6L6 tubes. Seriously, that's the only difference.

i'm aware, but i'd rather try both of them out in store to see which power sections sound i like best. the rest to me, like colour options i could really care less about
