Yeah Diezels are really expensive, your best bet would be to just come and play through all the amps we have and decide what you like most. We'll have a lot of kickass amps Chances are good I'd be able to cut you a silly deal that I couldn't advertise in print.

Is called "penetration pricing"... you introduce your products at a lower price than your competitors, something barely affordable (if you are a small business) or actually selling at a loss (if you are a big business expanding into a new field) so you can steal market share from your competitors and then build on customer loyalty to start growing sales volume and get back into the black.

Yeah pretty much. The main thing is I'm restricted by M.A.P. pricing, but all someone has to do is be clever enough to reach me privately and I can cut great deals for you guys. That said, the stuff I'll be carrying sells well at the full price, so I would only really be doing stuff like that for a select few (aka sevenstring.org).

whats the state of play on caparison?

another idea i had is a pickup matching service eg you could offer a service where if people could order a guitar with a set of pickups eg an Ibanez which comes with fairly poor pickups to start with. they come on the phone or online and say i want a rg1527 (maybe low end for what your intending to stock) with Bareknuckles. You guys install the pickups so that its ready to go with BKP straight out the shop door. You could run some sort of discount on the pickup price when buying a set but still earning you more money by not discounting it beyond what you paid for it.

I dunno if thats feesable

No that is a really good idea actually, good one man. That's something that definitely is doable. I coud offer that as a service on the website, that would be very easy to do. Thanks for the idea

I actually do plan on putting in a call w/ Ibanez. If I became a dealer for them I would likely only carry their nice stuff (Prestige, higher-end imports like the Xiphos, etc). I'm also going to call Ernie Ball Music Man and inquire with them, stay tuned.

In regards to Caparison, I responded to Itaru's email last night and am just waiting for his response. I'll hear back from him soon he said he wanted me to reply so he wouldn't blow me off. I'm just going to cross my fingers and hope he realizes a dealer could flourish in Boston eventhough New York is 250 miles away haha.

lol 250 miles is the equivilant of me driving one end of my country to the other.

I got my bareknuckle set yesterday and i was really swayed by the fact that the tech said hed install them free of charge if i bought a set i had origionally intended on getting a bridge only but i did like the sound of the coldsweat so i thought fuck it. i reckon youd get a lot of people like me. Cash in on the laziness!!

Yeah that's why I think he'll come around, he probably just looked on a map and saw that it looks close but it's really not

Totally man, it's a great idea. The pickup install-on-a-new-guitar service is definitely a solid idea that I will definitely implement. I know I would have liked to take advantage of such an arrangement many times in the past.

BTW if you ever need more BKP's I can hook you up. Well maybe, you're near England maybe it would be cheaper for you there even with me discounting it, not sure
