It's not going to be inside Boston most likely, it'll probably be about 10-20 minutes North, right off I-95. We're still scoping out locations though I'll get back to you on that

Update

I finally heard from Caparison. In fact, their head guy/designer Itaru. He expressed concern about our location since they have dealers in New York and Maryland. I responded to his email with my most articulate, thorough sell job on the Boston / New England region market. I'm praying that he'll see things my way and let us be a dealer. I think I made a really good case. If not, we'll be okay, but it would be very disappointing to me.

Wish me luck....

what did you say? "New England is full of metalcore guitarists who all worship at the altar of Caparison artists"?

Pretty much, amongst other things. I basically painted Boston as the hard rock/heavy metal capital of the USA these days. I mentioned Boston and New England as a whole is a completely different market from Boston and Washington and can be self-sustaining. I mentioned how much demand there is for Caparison, how people in this region would like to actually try them out and not import them from Japan or wait for Guitar Asylum to get in what they want, etc.

I also mentioned the internet, places like this where there's a ton of interest, blah blah. I said everything I possibly could have said, only professional and courteous of course, not gibberish like I'm spouting off here.

I did my best, we'll see how he responds. There's a Caparison dealer out in California so I doubt that would matter. I made the point clear that I'd be selling a lot of these all over the country with my online store as well as regionally.

I just don't think he understands New York and DC are not THAT close to Boston. I mean, there are companies that have told us that since we're 15-20 miles away from _____ there should be no conflicts, yet New York is like maybe 200-300 miles or whatever. The main point is that Boston is an entirely different market from NY. There's a zillion bands here, colleges, music schools, people with money, etc.

I'm hoping for the best, I'm made my case and we'll see what he says. I was super polite, friendly and professional in my correspondence with him, hopefully he'll give it some deeper thought.

this is pretty cool dude. If travel is relatively painless for me, i'll probably go to your place when i am ready to pick up a high-end amp (hopefully before this year is out!). Of the brands you listed, i've only gotten to play VHTs and Mesas, and not nearly as extensively as i'd liked to. What price range do Deizel's run?
