Well I'm taking it as a personal challenge now. I will find out a way to get in touch with them and find out what the deal is directly. I don't have to deal them, but I'd really like to stock their stuff. Hopefully I can get in touch with one of them and work out a deal.

BTW: I spoke with Bernie Rico Jr at length today on the phone (what an honor, great guy), and he told me that all the standard models now have mahogany wings instead of poplar, at no extra charge. Awesome I'm going to be placing an order for about 10 guitars from him for our initial run, should be sweet.

Some Good News, Some Bad News

Good: I spoke with Orange, Parker/Washburn USA, and Seymour Duncan and it looks like we're good to go with all of them as well

Good: Bernie Rico Jr's new price list came in, and are just absurdly fair. Talked to Bernie for hours today, he literally does everything himself. Buffing, milling, painting, every aspect he does himself - unparalleled quality and value. I can't wait to get in our first shipment of his stuff

Bad: ESP rejected us because there's another high volume dealer in our vicinity. Oh well, can't win 'em all

On a personal note, I'd like to announce that a major development has occurred in my life which I'm excited to share with you all. I am being offered 50% ownership of this company, we're incorporating ourselves (LLC partnership) 50/50 all the way. Really what this means is I'm going to have complete authority and control to make decisions on what to order, which brands to align with, pricing, hiring employees, website, requesting funds from our investors, etc. My partner Jon is going to be handling the financial side of things, taking care of the books, budgeting, and of course teaming up with me in decision making (not to mention mentoring me).

So, I know I said before "wish me luck" when it was just going to be me working at his store making commissions and giving advice to him, now I'll REALLY need it as it's my company too. I'm excited, hopefully I can make sevenstring.org and the 7-string in general be a huge focus of the store in a way that no place ever has before. I know it's risky to air all this stuff in public but I trust you guys.
