It's also darker, more like a smoky chrome, in color (at least, the ones I got from Scott are). Sort of like mixing a shiny Alnico 5 with a dark gray ceramic, so there you go. http://www.wolf.org |

You get all the performance/response of ceramic, but with all the "musicality" of alnico. 2. Uber tight bass. Maybe tighter than ceramic? 3. No sterility. 4. Highs are maybe even better... is this A8 even more 3-D? And the best part, the highs are super sparkly. I have it in the bridge of my 2027, FTR. In my custom D Sonic 7. The A8's are physically thinner, but longer, than stock Dimarzio ceramic magnets. Seem to have about the same power, perhaps just a tad more than the ceramic (no way to measure gauss, however). Seems to be more power than A5. |
