Possible New Orders of Alnico 5 and/or Alnico 8 magnets for 7-string humbuckers

Now i just have to decide what i'm going to do with the Alnico 8 magnet. (Technically, AlNiCo VIII

)

I have a Custom-7 that i'm probably going to put an Alnico 5 in, as i hear it's a great combo. But having also read about an Alnico 8 magnet swap in the JB, i'm very curious to try that option as well, as it seems to tweak the JB's tone in a way that might work for me.

Or maybe i'll try the Alnico 8 in the Custom as well.

Decision, decisions...

Mine is likely going in my D Activator.

My custom DS7 made by Steve B actually sounds better with ceramic, oddly. So, I went with A5 DA7, and was pleasantly surprised. We'll see how the A8 works.

all the A8s requests are paid up--thanks guys. i'll put the order in first thing on monday. they should take about 4 weeks to get to me, then i'll mail them out.

we can leave the thread open in case there are more A5 requests, but we'd need 15+ of those to get another A5 order together, so it seems unlikely.
