i thought Bulb used the onboard tubescreamer pedal effect from the Pod? Either way, the Tubescreamer is supposedly a djent miracle.

I don't know for sure about Bulb's screamer, it was an IIRC kind of thing

I'll vouch for this. i use one in front of my gnx3000 and my other guitarist uses one in front of his XTL (although neither are LordOVchaoS modded ones... yet... soon). i wont play without one anymore. i used to use the onboard screamer on both the pod and gnx3000, but it's just not as full and sweet sounding as these. i can only imagine how much better it'll be with a modded one

About the Crybaby. $90 is the price of a new one and that's how much I charge. I don't make any money on buying new pedals, I just do it to make life easier for you guys. All together for a modded new one you're looking at $123.

Also, many will vouch for me when I say that an OD can do wonders for a modeler too! The analog clipping in front of the input just makes it sound better IMO. FWIW I think Bulb uses a Tubescreamer in front of his POD and his tone OWNS!

Hmm...alright, you've talked me into it I've got some financial stuff to sort out first, but I'm definitely interested in at least one or two modded pedals in the future

that od808 with all the mods looks really tempting, hah.

There is VERY LITTLE difference. All tubescreamers are the same circuit with slight variances in parts values. The TS7 sounds slightly different because its all 1/8 watt resistors and all the other models are 1/4 watt. The difference is barely noticeable if at all.

The 808 and ts9 with all the mods are very tasty indeed!

True bypass makes them sound better with the pedal on and off! There's no room for true bypass in a TS7.

yeh, i can understand that, what with those little microswitches. i used to have the tone-lok fuzz pedal. built well, but sounded bloody aweful, haha. then again, i was never into a fuzzy tone, and just bought it on a whim.

i think if the 808 clone i'm gonna get from my friend falls thorugh, i just might have to get a maxon od808 with the chaos mod from you, haha.
