Its not made for fanned frets but with some modding and not very easily i guess i can adapt it..
I will try to do it soon cause the next one is a fanned 7string..

Hehe, you need that software for your router to do arched/radiused fret routings

The fret slotting jig is this one STEWMAC.COM : Fret Slotting Miter Box
It would be quite tricky to adapt it to a fanned fret and honestly i have no clue on how to do it atm..

I have found a better software for the cam programming, and i growed my cad skills.. Now i can completely draw on 3D a carved body similar to the last 7string i built and have it worked by the machine. Infact i already drawed the one for these 8string. It just takes a lot of time to draw one, but i plan to use it again in future..

I can't have all the fret slots done on cnc because the cutting part of the bit is not long enough to make a deep flat cut and i cant trust the cnc for making the fretboard perfectly straight. This means that even if ill do the radius on the cnc i will need to sand it again by hand and than the slots depths will decrease..

I wouldn't sweat being in the dealers' section. I spend at least as much time here as elsewhere, and make it a point to check this forum every day.

Well i guess that people interested in building\modding usually checks more the luthiery section but whatever :P

I agree there's absolutely nothing bad about reciding in the Dealers section.
Just wondering why, as Rusti isn't a defined luthier.
I can of course see the point in how to make the destinction between a dedicated luthier and one that builds a few for fun and selling the sibling to finance more cool stuff

Hell yeah dude. I am here as part of my normal circle of interest. BTW those necks are complete class and absolutely beautiful. The inlay is going to look stunning and it puts your personal touch on your work. NIIIICE job!

Drilled the holes for the screws and for the carbon fiber truss rods.
Im not really happy with these truss rods.. i made a precise slot for a tight fit but these have just some thicker part and i had to send them..

Didnt want to post pics of the 3d drawing before i builded the real one

Anyway its kinda similar to the one of my last 7string. Shape is slightly different but you can tell for sure it has the same style

Man, I never thought I'd see someone make a sexier neck than ViK, but this may beat out any that he has made.... So unbelievably clean and classy.

Since your sig is at the 12th fret, are you leaving the headstock blank?

Yeah the headstock will be clean, only the truss rod cover is missing there..
