Waiting for Matt to chime in on the order status. I'd be down for a Full Shred 7n in the neck. Wanting to try that out for a while. In the end I don't think it's going to be a big deal swapping out the pups. Let's confirm the order first though.

+1

i think the Invader/Full Shred is one of my all-time favorite combos.

I'm not too convinced on the Invader but wouldn't mind the FS.

I am usually very strong hater of the JB, but my buddy has one in his Jackson SL2HT and it sounds pretty damn good....so, wouldn't mind giving it another try, but I am open to other suggestions, other than the Invader

The 7 string JB is total - I've tried it on many occasions and it's just too hot and tends to be loose and wooly on the 7th string. I think the Custom/FS set sounds great actually.

They even make a FS bridge pup right? I've never tried that one. hmmm...

Yeah....I wouldn't mind going with a Full Full Shred set as my buddy just put one in the bridge of his 7 string Universe and really liked it.

I'm awaiting our work order but if we're changing pickups we should do it now, to prevent having to make multiple revisions to the work order.

I'd be down for an entire Full Shred 7 set. I kinda wanted to try something else over the standard Jazz/Custom.

I am definitely down for a full shred neck.
But looking at the tone chart for the full shred bridge with bass:4 mid:4 and treb:8 it is leading me to think it is going to sound too bright in the bridge position with our already bright wood choices on the guitar. I am leaning more towards the Custom for the bridge.

So either a Full Shred set or Full shred neck/Custom bridge is what I am ok with. Either way would work for me and I am fine with that

I wouldn't put too much stock into those EQ charts - they describe the general trend but I've always foudn them to not be too accurate

I'm with you Jeremy - let's make the decision soon though.

Good luck, guys. This is the worst part....knowing that after you lock it in you can't change it until the guitar pops out 9 months later! That's a long time to 2nd guess your choices. It happens to me everytime I do a custom order

For pickups it doesn't really matter I guess....cause I always factor in changing out the pickups on any guitar I get, but was hoping maybe to get something "stock" that would please me for a while and I wouldn't have to slap some BKP's in there.

As far as the guitar, I always loved the stock wood choices on Jacksons so i am good there.

But i would love Reverse Sharkfin Inlays
