ViK Guitars products line

Hi!

Guess it's time to create a new thread with some more specific content.
I'll be introducing each of ViK guitars model including all the specs, pictures and samples as well as all general info on purchasing or ordering a ViK guitar.

Just a few words about what ViK Guitars are.
Every particular guitar is fully handmade by one person (master V.Kuletski) in a small shop in Europe. All the designs are unique and created to best fit the needs of every musician. You'll see from the specs, pics and samples that ViK Guitars are equipped with the best supplies available and the craftmanship is a top-notch.

These days I'm mostly involed in custom guitars crafting but soon I'm limiting the number of custom projects to mostly focus on the line of my models to be able to supply a few dealers in US and Canada with a very limited stock of ViK Guitars. I do all the work myself so I believe those will hardly be easily found anywhere else but at specific dealers'.

Check www.vikguitars.com for aditional info about the shop.
Check YouTube - vikguitars's Channel for some video stuff on existing models.

So, let's start the introductions.

All of the models are available for custom order but check this thread to get latest upfates on the guitars in stock.

This one was made as one time exclusive project but empressed me so much so I decided there should be special very limited Caprice S Korina series. I hope I'll be able to produce one or two this one piece beauties a year.
BTW this particular one is in stock and available for direct purchase. Email me at contact@vikguitars.com for pricing and details.

ViK Guitars offically anounces crafting of the very first Black Lotus 8 Baritone is to be started this December. Here's what its gonna look like

I'm also thinking of making one more 7 string Black Lotus soon. So maybe the two project will come aside.

I would also really appriciate to get some working musicians oppinions on "fretless 8 string". Do you think it's a good idea or should I go standard fretted? Advise please.

Just my opinion, but fretless would be more of an experimental thing for me, and I wouldn't want to spend very much money on it. So I'd go fretted.
Also, if his is baritone, are you thinking 27" or 28" or? And since it's longer, could you add a couple of frets (to bring them to at least 24, and maybe beyond)? It might require modifying the lower horn and moving the neck pickup, but it seems that the 24 frets are pretty popular. Here on SSO, anyway.
And now for the big question...how much will they cost? And will mods be permitted, or are you sticking to a standard build?

This is gonna be experimental guitar so it's a bit to early to speak about cost. For a new model, especially if it features smth really special or innovative I can get a price only when it's ready so it's actually based on result. I would hardly ever sell any good looking "piece of shit" at any money only of that reason it looks good or made of fine materials or equipped with rare expensive hardware. Really good instrument is good in all aspects. every made guitar is a "brick" in the "wall" of ViK guitars. The stonger the "brick" the more reliable is the "wall".
Black Lotus 8 will have nearly 27" scale 22 frets in stock version. It's not a problem to make longer scale and more frets on custom orders.

I'm working on a kind of "research" now, which I hope soon will join ViK Guitars models line as I'm really love that kind of stuff.

It's called Acoust-a-Sonic and this is a kind of semi-acoustic guitars

Can I get the price for a duality 7 too? loooove the looks! really inspired me when I drawn my first guitar design!

My friend: I just had an argument with a girl I know. She was saying how it's unfair that if a guy ....s a different girl every week, he's a legend, but if a girl ....s just two guys in a year, she's a slut. So in response I told her that if a key opens lots of locks, then it's a master key. But if a lock is opened by lots of keys, then it's a shitty lock.

The Black Lotus is still my personal favorite. Though solid, glossy black guitars are usually tedious IMO, the Black Lotus's sexy shape more than makes up for that

My signal path: Gibson LP Studio > TS-9 > Lifesound Horizon (Dual Recto + Fender Bassman clone) > POD X3 Live (loop, fx only) > Lifesound custom 2x12" loaded with Eminence Legends

I started smoking when I was 13 or 14, I smoke a pack a day now an I wish I could go back in time an kick my own ass. - matt397

After I had surgery and was still drugged I said "Now that you've been inside of me I suppose you won't be calling me back either." - IDLE
