No probably not. I think I'm going to be carrying the USA Jackson production models as well as some imports, but not customs. Frankly, as even Jackson endorsers here will attest to, their prices for custom work these days are outrageous anyhow.

I think USA Jackson production models are fantastic. They are pricey, but not unreasonable when compared to their competitors. However, I've heard a lot of negative things of late from people who ordered customs. That, combined with the fact that they are so obscenely priced compared to other custom shops of equal quality, I would never recommend someone buy a CS Jackson anymore. Now, of course if someone absolutely demanded what only Jackson CS can provide, that's cool with me. I just personally would never pay that kind of money for one when there are better options out there in my opinion. Even Jackson fans would probably agree with me there. So personally, I've always had wonderful experiences with just the regular USA select line. Therefore, I feel better recommending one of those to someone over dropping $4500 on a CS version which from recent accounts may not even be all it's cracked up to be. Bottom line? I'd recommend against ordering a CS Jackson, there are better values out there from equally skilled luthiers. /opinion |
