Maybe a silly question, but what are the specs on your computer at work?

Here's mine:
CPU: 3.01 Ghz
RAM: 2.0 GB
Harddrive: 235 GB
30x DVD-ROM
Running on Windows XP Professional
19" thin flat screen

I thihnk that's all the important stuff...

G5 Dual processor
2 gig ram
Nvidia Video Card (forget which one)
4 G-raid external hard drives
2 - 21" monitors (crts - could park a small car in them)

Dell 2.4 ghz p4
1/2 gig ram
onboard video
(Use for IE/win testing)

Couldn't tell you the specs, but before I left Gibson Guitars one of these was my work computer.

I played a Gibson SG Supreme the other day. Man, I usually hate Gibsons, but this was really nice. Too bad it was 6-strings.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 2 gigs of ram, 80gig internal hard drive, 160gig external, 19" flatscreen. Dual booting SuSe 10.0 and WinXP Pro.

My work computer is an 80 cpu Beowulf cluster with about 80GB of RAM and 3TB of disk space. I'm not the only one who gets to use it, but I do maintain it...

I got an e-mail the other day telling me that I was officially the only person left at Mellon Analytical (700+ employees) not running XP. So far, they haven't followed through on the software upgrade, although I suspect they're waiting to do it with the system, as this one's probab;y about done...

I don't know why you'd need 2 terabytes of storage (Do you need it?). I have 235 GB of storage and I've only used about 15 GB (for installing the games/software I translate. The actual translation text files only amount to something like 30-50 MB total). I mean... it'd be nice to have 2 terabytes. Never have to worry about anything. I like having 2 gigabytes of RAM and a 3 GHz CPU.
