Quick linksys question...

I have a linksys wireless router. Can another brand's wireless G PCI card work with the linksys router, or do I have to stay with linksys?

I have my internal wireless card in my dell working with it. I'm not sure if it's linksys... but at least 20 or so laptops have picked up the wireless connection in my house, and I bet they weren't linksys.

I hope that was some-what helpful until someone who knows for sure responds.

I have the same laptop as david, and it works with my linksys router. My mothers new laptop has an internal card aswell and works just as well as her old laptop did with the linksys pci card.

As long as it is the same type of wireless it will still work no matter what brand of electronics you are using. Anything on 802.11b seems to be the most common out there right now. 802.11g (faster) is backwards compatable so 802.11b cards still work with it.
