Subwoofer issues
Hey, first time in here. Sorry if its in the wrong section!
I currently have my Laptop in my room hooked up to my stereo, but I only have 2 20 watt speakers. The treble is killing my ears, even when I EQ it. So I'm looking for a relatively powerful subwoofer to a decent price to sit under the desk and make my trouser legs flap. I found THIS, but with a small problem- The wires coming out is the audio cable going into my Laptop, and the little black input below it is the for the sub... so can I connect up the additional two speakers I'll get with the sub? Cheers ![]() Also I'm open to any other suggestions. Thanks guys! |

You mean connect them into 5.1, or just having two sets of monitors that you can switch between? Either way the answer is no; you'll need a better amplifier (as in a stereo made of seperates). My Technics can do several sets of speakers...

The sub out is merely a crossed over output, basically all low frequencies would go to the subwoofer, and thats it. There will be no high frequencies from that one.
