![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Head of Team Ninja (Ninja Gaiden/Dead Or Alive) quits, sues Tecmo Itagaki Leaving Team Ninja, Suing Tecmo news from 1UP.com Well that's sudden. His almost overbearing presence in the Ninja Gaiden games makes me wonder if they'll be any good without him. Oh well. |

It'll be interesting to see who makes the better games in the next few years, them or him. NG2 is a great game, but it'd be nice to see someone with some radical new ideas step in for the next game in the series. Maybe knock down the sex & violence a peg and ramp up the story & graphics a little. We'll see. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I read a report a few hours ago about how there are already plans for a NG3. I've been trying to find it here for the past few minutes but I can't turn it up so you'll have to trust my word on it that I read it ![]() No way they stop putting out NG games, they're cash cows. Hopefully they can keep the quality up with Itagaki leaving. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here's one of many reports. Team Ninja remains intact and we'll be seeing much more from DOA and Ninja Gaiden in the future: Tecmo affirms Itagaki departure - Xbox 360 News at GameSpot "Most importantly, Tecmo would like to assure its loyal fans that Team Ninja, known for its top selling and critically acclaimed Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive franchises, is intact and, as a matter of fact, have several new projects already underway," said Tecmo. "Team Ninja is, more than ever, committed to producing compelling and cutting edge games in order to maintain its reputation as a high quality developer and to continue to receive the support of its loyal fans." |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Itagaki was saying that he thought NG2 was the pinnacle of action gaming and that it should be the final game in the series, and I tend to agree. Ninja Gaiden without Itagaki would be like Metallica without Hetfield or something. At least there won't be any more DOA volleyball games, heh. |

![]() | I read an interview with Itagaki about adding a multiplayer component to the NG series. He said he had at one point (I've never seen it) and he thought it could potentially ruin the experience of the game...or something to that extent. I hope they add some multiplayer functionality...and maybe with him gone, they will now. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | So it's not just Itagaki who has issues with Tecmo, apparently all 300 employees are now suing for unpaid wages. Yikes. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | what a mess tecmo created. They're done, and this is the last Ninja Gaiden game more than likely. Hopefully the staff from Team Ninja re-unites under a different company and churns out some great action games in the future. |
