![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ipod in my car. Options? So, i recently acquired a '99 Escort ZX2 after my old steamer died. Problem here is it doesnt have a CD player. or a cassette deck. Just AM/FM. my old adapter died on me, and i went to walmart to grab another one, but unless its sitting right in front of the radio, you cant hear shit. What are my options short of buying a new radio? Or do i have to suck it up and buy a new radio & mounting kit? Glory and praise to Thee, Satan, on high, Where Thou didst reign, in Hell where Thou dost lie, Vanquished, silent, dreaming eternally. Grant that my soul some day rest close to Thee Under the Tree of Knowledge which shall spread Its branches like a Temple overhead. ~Charles Baudelaire http://www.myspace.com/impurity Brutal Skullfucking Death Metal |

You may have an option to jack the iPod directly into the head unit. Or from the sounds of it, maybe not. You can probably get an aftermarket head unit with an aux input for less than $100. In Toronto, i can't find an empty FM frequency that an FM transmitter can cut through well enough. And if you take a road trip, you constantly have to be re-tuning to find a clear channel. AND the audio quality will be no better than an FM radio, which is pretty crappy. Hard-wired solutions are so much better. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have Griffin Itrip FM modulators. One for my car and one for the work truck. Best of the bunch. ( I tried a shitload- I work at Circuit city!). Cuts through clear and I am in the city with lots of radio congestion. These are becomming hard to find. Griffin updated it to a different model and they aren't as good. Micocenter online had a few.. ![]() Go to Crutchfield: Car Audio, Home Theater, Speakers, LCD TV, Plasma TV, plug in your car, pull up the head units with iPod controls, and pick the one you like. Go buy it locally, where it is cheaper.
