I haven't. All I hear is people saying that they hate it or it sucks, but they never say why or give any explanation. And, since I haven't had any negative experiences with it, I don't get why. It seems to me more like it's popular to jump on the Vista-bashing band wagon.

I use my PC mainly for internet, watching movies, writing (for example, lyrics), pictures, and for playing games.

its just the amount of resources it consumes for useless stuff. i can run 40 some odd instances of avedesk and use half of the juice of vistas widget manager. that and the 3d scrolling in the window manager is always consuming resources and is all but impossible to disable.

how are sagitta cases? ive heard incredible and ive heard unusable, but not any inbetween

64 bit XP and Vista get the shaft by Microsoft. Drivers are practically nonexistent for the vista version, at least that's what it was like last year.

Yeah. I disabled pretty much all of the flashy shiny features and the annoying user account control, but I couldn't disable the 3D scrolling in the window manager, but I never use it and I seem to have plenty of RAM free for whatever I want to do (disabling everything flashy I could probably helped).

Drivers are different between the 32 bit version and the 64 bit version?

I hope your version of vista is 64-bit, otherwise that 8 gigs of ram is useless. Also, why only a 5000+ and 2.1 speakers?

They have to be compiled for 64 bit architecture to work properly with the kernel and to take full advantage of the greater bandwidth.
