I just use the computer for ss.org,ebay,paypal,and some other sites. My kids use it the most, and they just play around on PBS Kids.org. I don't use it for anything but web sites.

Ubuntu would probably be a good solution, the only thing I could see being trouble are the memory requirements

They look cool, but it pisses me off that Asus factory underclocks them from 933Mhz to 600Mhz or so. I wonder if that's the case with the newer 900 model.

It's a pretty cool little device.

The only thing that I don't like about it is that the monitor does not support a very high resolution, which is understandable given the format, but I'd personally like to crank it up a little more to get more screen space. Other than that little issue, it's a solid device for WiFi usage, on the go work stuff, and even older games if you want to.

I've been tempted to install Windows XP on it, since apparently it runs pretty well on them and you can crank the resolution higher due to something in the drivers that can scale the screen (I'm not 100% on how it works, but it does)
