To stick with Vista, or to go back to XP?

You don't need drivers, what could possibly go wrong with Vista 64?

XP won't let you down. But, vista is probably the way to go, for one reason...directX 10 lol. I haven't had any problems with it. it has the occasional freeze, and doesn't like some programs. But damn, XP for was nooooooo different.

The only reason people hate vista is because MS made it, XP was no different when it first came out lol. They say its a scam n stuff because its the only OS to support directX 10 and what not, not that i know much about operation systems, but i am sure there is a solid reason for that.

If it was a way of making money, why would they still be releasing service packs and what not for XP?

XP or Vista...you can't go wrong...i'd recommend vista 64 bit though. Like i said, you want directX 10 gaming, get vista. Go with your heart!!

Well, at the moment Vista isn't much cop, however, it actually does do a better job at dealing with multicore processing than XP. Basically, I'll switch over 3 - 5 years after everyone else, when it all works and there's cool software for it that I need vista for.

I don't mind Vista, I like the layout and look of it, and I don't really demand much, so we get along quite well.
