Opensource Cad. How is avoCADo?

Im looking for some free cad software (no warez plz) and avoCADo looks good. its downloading right now

Anybody have anything to say about it? Tips? reasons to never say the word again?

FWIW, im using it to lay out a tremblock to make the ZR7 function with a normal claw (and thus

a tremelno!)

ok it took all of a minute and a half to realize that this wont do what i need it to.
not to mention the fact that i have to have a cmd console open the whole time its running in a seperate window.

oh and a lack of being able to save your work

anybody have any experience with archimedes?

FreeCAD sucks too

turbocad2d is working waaay better

Did you find any that work for you? I work on Autocad but I'm sure there must be some decent free stuff out there.

Did you try QCad? Are you running this on Windows or Linux? I've got QCAD running on Ubuntu Hardy, and it's working pretty well. But damnit Jim, I'm an IT guy, not an engineer. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.
