I saw the light. Macbook

As a long time windows user and supporter, I finally got fed up and moved into a new black macbook. Core 2 2.4ghz, 2 gb ram and 250gb hd.

Much better pc experience. I have to learn not to be so stubborn about pcs, I was missing out bigtime. However, I do feel Windows PC still do some things better.

Well there's no reason to completely abandon Windows if you don't want to. Just use Boot Camp if you still want to keep a Win XP partition on there. I find that the Macbooks run Win apps just fine.

IIRC, if its new and come with leopard, it has bootcamp integrated into the OS ready for you to run with it.

Whats the RPM on the 250? i was wary of them, cause i remember when they first put them in they were 5400rpm or possibly even 4800

I use osx, XP, and Vista on my MacBook Pro, but I'm using paralells instead of boot camp. I prefer to keep widows as a virtual os rather than native. It's all a matter of preference and.. Yea you have a 5400rpm drive fo' sho'. I dig my mac, I do a lot of autoit scripting for work and have been doing some applescript so having multiple OS's on one system is great. Have fun, man. Being a proficent user in multiple OS's and platforms makes you more marketable as well.

yup, no Macbook is available with a 7200rpm drive from Apple, only the MBP. You can, however, upgrade to a 7200rpm afterwards.

I want a Macbook. I will be going to pharmacy school in the next year and will need a new laptop. Do the new Macbooks come with Boot Camp?? If not I am sure I will have to purchase that as well because I too still like the way windows does some things. Plus windows will probably be required to run some of the programs I will be using for school.

i switched after beeing a die-hard pc user for over 10 years. Now there's no way back. I still have windows installed on my macbook pro for playing PC games, but other than that i don't see a use for it anymore.

The only reason I don't have a Mac is the price. I just can't afford to spend that on a computer right now. You absolutely get what you pay for, though, because Macs are the nicest PCs* on the market right now.

* Yes, Microsoft, Apple, and everyone else. Macs are personal computers as well.
