Just in case people don't check bungie... there is a new map pack out for Halo 3. The Legendary map pack!
Featuring Blackout (remake of Lockout from Halo 2), Avalanche (remake of Sidewinder from Halo 1) and Ghost Town (all new). They are all sweet maps - especially Avalanche, and especially Avalanche if you are good with a sniper rifle.

Blackout looks cool, that was one of my favorite maps. The psuedo remake they did already in halo 3 (I can't remember what it's called) kinda disappointed me a little, but I was exited to hear they re did it proper.

I'll kinda miss the blue foggy hue of the original, as well as the ambient snowfall. But still it's great!

The pseudo remake.. Guardian. Its one of the worst maps in the game IMO - whichever team can get the shotgun into the sniper tower first wins the game because then you can cover the curly ramp & mancannon with the shotty, the top court and bottom hallway with the snipe, and the elbow with your other guys.
Having Blackout back just reminds me of how crappy Guardian is haha and how AWESOME lockout was.

I'm still hoping that a Blood Gulch or Coagulation remake is in the next map pack..
