Talking I HAS AS ONE TERRABYTE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE!!

Long story short, the hard drive that came with the family computer was literally 99% full. I couldn't update programs, and some wouldn't run until space was freed. I bought this at Best Buy for $230(USD). It hooks up via USB 2.0, so there was no extra software installing involved. First thing I did was load all my music and pics on there, and then delete the originals on the internal hard disk.

It's a Western Digital 'My Book:Essential Edition.' Tis a good perchase.

$230 for a 1T external hard drive! Dude, that's a KILLER price! They were $500 last time I looked at Best Buy.

I use one of the 320G My Book Premium Editions & I love it! Great drives.

I know. The last time I was there there were 400 or 500 GB drives for like $300 and $350 (respectively). I came in and saw that and immediately did a double take. These are the kind of deals people sell their kidneys for.

Too bad it only connects with USB 2.0, I'm sure it would be more effective via firewire.

Still though, BAD ASS deal dude.

I think there was also another version that had firewire at the same store. But I don't has a Firewire so I got the USB 2.0. It's actually not as bad as you think. I can stream my whole itunes library off of it with no problems.
