I'm sure it would be fine on a normal system. But... goddammit... i have this system and i need it to work without spending days endlessly dicking around. It's exactly the reason I prefer macs over pc's. I don't want to have to troubleshoot the plumbing every time I have to shit! I just want the fucking toilet to flush!

The problems are basically admin power, rez and connection. It's too much to fuck with at the moment, because I have so little time this semester. I have a version of fedora that I'm getting ready to try right now.
