![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Games of 2007? Along the same lines as this thread, which are the most noteworthy games of 2007 for you? I can't decide just now, but I'm sure a lot of you have made your minds up by now, so what are they? |

![]() | Best: -Half-Life 2: Episode 2 (A positive surprise and fun to play all the way through.) -Call of Duty 4 (Extremely fun, intense and well made. Has very cool multiplayer features that I like.) -Portal (Cool and exciting game with clever map design. I'm looking forward to see how Episode 3 implements the portal gun. )Worst: -Sim City Societies (Ugh. I can't stand this game. I was foolishly expecting Sim City 2000 gameplay but got a headache instead.) -Campus Student Life Simulation (Just look at the title. It's basically one of those flash "real life" simulators but worse. Much worse... and it costs )There you have it. There are many games that I haven't played due to the fact that I only have a PC, a sad one I may add, so I'm sure I've missed some great titles for the 360,Wii and PS3. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I'd probably put Assassin's Creed, Ratchet And Clank Future: Tools Of Destruction, Shin Sangoku Musou 5 (something like Dynasty Warriors 6, I think it said was the English title), BioShock, The Darkness, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and so on... I'm assuming Lost Odyssey will also be on that list as well, even though I just started playing it a few days ago. I always look at reviews, trailers, and talk to my friends before buying games, so I haven't really played any bad games this year. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Super Mario Galaxy is without a doubt the best game I've played this year (and most other years). Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition is probably the game I enjoyed most after Galaxy. It was actually the first time I played the game. I've played through it about five times now, and I just can't get enough of it. God of War II is absolutely fantastic. And I'm hoping to add Zelda: Phantom Hourglass to the list (it should be here in a few days). And many more... I haven't played any bad games either. Just a lot of great ones. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Best: Assasins Creed deffinetly the best game ive played all year. Call of duty 4 great fun full of action and great online aswell. The darkness - a total surprise as i had heard nothing about it and bought it second hand for a cheap laugh and it was amazing. Bioshock - Great story and good that theres 2 ways of doing it so it encourages you to play it again. Id have liked to have seen multiplayer for this as it would have been hilarious i think. Pity there are others i just cant think of at the moment because im at work. biggest dissapointment Ace Combat 6 - this game could have been rediculously good. unfortunatley its another ok fly over here and shoot down these guys fly over there and blow up these guys on the ground now go there and kill those guys. Ok your done good job. Every mission..... ![]() The ground gets all pixilated with you fly down close to it. The buildings are completeley out our proportion (when you fly close to the ground your fighter plane dwarfs what are supposed to be skyscrapers) Theres absolutley no feeling of going 'fast' Explosions are pretty shit the machinegun is shit sounding and looks similar to the one i remember from ace combat 3. The game looks good (when your up high) but really thats the only thing i found impressive about it. i love fighter combat games but for the most part they are poorly done. There should be more things like low level chases to make things more interesting and the ground level should have had a lot more work put into it so that you could fly down streets and fly low in built up areas. Obviously these are rediculous things to do in real life but what are computer games for if not to do the rediculous? sorry for the rant but i had high hopes for this game and with a console as powerful as the 360 (assasins creed and oblivion being good examples of how it can handle massive scales) there is no excuse for games being this shit. |
