  | TV Output RULES!! Remember that new laptop I got for school? Well it has a S-Video output on it. I've played around with it a couple of times at a friend's house on his Huge Widescreen HDTV for S's & G's. Well, I bought a 20' S/AV cable and hooked it up to my TV in the basement, and after a little fiddling with settings, I figured out how to make it run as an extended desktop, with my laptop's resolution running 1280x800 and the TV at 1024x768 (when I did this before at my friend's house, both would be 1024x768, and it wasn't in extended desktop mode) So right now, as I'm typing this, I'm watching the DVD from last year's ProgPower USA, and Mercenary kicks ass!!!  | my video card has an S vid out as well. i've been thinking about trying to run movies out to the TV in the other room, much like you're doing, and especially since my computer isn't a laptop  . I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways, we could reverse the particle flow through the gate. We'll cross the streams. |
