So my computer decides to "forget" one of my partition's information, ugh. Luckily it was a lesser-importance one (and on the same drives is my music O____O ...

anyway trying to recover this shit, I really hate computers sometimes.

i think ive got you beat...mine cant even keep time

as soon as you try to do ANYTHING (and plenty of times when you do nothing) itll frezze up/slow down for a few seconds at a time (several times a min) in the course of a week its off by at least a few hours

have you tried DSL? Damn Small Linux. you can download the Live Disc and boot it from a CD, or USB drive, as the OS is only 50mb. it's loaded with hard drive recovery tools, as that's what it's used for most of the time.

It sucks when problems like these appear. Sometimes, free space magically appears on my hdd... when this happens I just pretend I didn't see anything

yeah don't see anything in DSL although I had another livecd I ran right before this and fixed up the boot shit on that drive so maybe it'll work now...ugh

lol yeah so recreating that crap fixed it a bit, now chkdisk deleted a whole lot of references and is now recreating them/recovering files, yay! lolz...*is on the laptop* haha

LOL it's recovering Ranma 1/2 pics right this second
