I'm trying to think of games I've finished that have had great endings. I think Bioshock 1 definitely had a bigger 'oh my god' moment than Black Ops. Too bad the bossfight was easier than 90% of the game.

metal gear solid 1, and 3
shadows of colossus
final fantasy 10
kingdom hearts 1
shadow hearts 1, 2, and 3
zone of enders
onimusha1
infamous 1 and 2 (both endings for both the games)

the list goes on and on as games with good endings...

Fortunately, the guy in the video phrased it pretty well. As far as I'm concerned, 4 of the top 5 could have been the Metal Gear Solid series.

Perhaps the Guinness Book should stay away from qualitative categories. I mean, you can find the world's tallest man alive or the world's most populist city, and you can show measurements or research to confirm it... how much a video gamer enjoys the ending of a game- even if it leads findings in a survey it's still going to be a dodgy and debatable finding.

god of war maybe fun, but i wont call it a good ending...
heavy rain is just complex as it has several different endings...but its not a good ending either.

and metal gear solid 4 made it, and not 3?

Having just finished Mass Effect 2, I am surprised that wasn't on the list. I know that there are different endings, but they could have just said "Paragon Ending".

While I have nothing against Black Ops, or COD in general, all I have to say is...really? I can name atleast 30 games with better endings.

IMO, the best current gen. game ending would have to be Red Dead Redemption.

I don't think that I have ever been so angry about a character dying as when Marston dies at the end. Just an awesome and tragic ending.

..havent' played any Metal Gear.....
