What are you gaming habits?

Just curious is all.

I havent played a video game in about a month or so. I have this weird cycle where I will go 1-3 months without so much as turning my xbox on. Then a game I was looking forward to will come out and I'll commit all my free time for a few weeks to beating and doing everything in the game. Then the state of dormancy occurs again.

I really dont plan on playing anything till Resident Evil 6 comes out. I only have 3 games haha. Halo Reach, Skyrim, and Mass Effect 3.

I play all of the big blockbusters each year from beginning to end, but I don't do all of the side bs. I use gamefly so I normally just beat the main story of every big game, skyrim, mass effect, ect... I really don't have the time to do all of the extras like I used to.

My cycle is essentially the same as yours OP, but I'll easily go a year or so without gaming

Same thing, I go in cycles. I also play very few games. The games I've played released in the past 10 years are: WoW, WarCraft III, League of Legends, a week of CoD:MW2, and 2 days of SW:TOR. In a week I'll add Diablo III to that list.

Everything Bethesda touches I'll generally play, and if it's a Fallout or TES title than the next two months of my life are spoken for I also try to keep up with all the Halo games as I really enjoy that franchise.

Other than that, not much at all. If extreme boredom strikes I might play an older game, not much interest in most newer games as I hate the DLC/multiplayer emphasis of newer games. Currently replaying Half Life 2.

Same for me, OP. I'll go months without even turning the Xbox on except for movies and netflix, then will play a lot of games for a couple to a few months.

Skyrim and Mass Effect are games I plowed through in a purposeful manner. Mostly though it's me playing a game for 3-4 hrs and not picking it up again for months. Even on Arkham Asylum, though I'm glad I found my way back to that one and completed it.

Games like WoW I play for 3-6 months and get burnt out. I think with mysts I might just buy it when the last expansion hits. It's too difficult to maintain a sustainable level of interest through an xp's life.

Pretty much the same. I'll play the hell out of something for a short period of time, then just... stop. Doesn't matter if I finish the game, I'll go from full throttle to nothing in a day.

It's not just videogames either, it's for books as well. For example, once I started reading A Song of Ice and Fire series, I *plowed* through A Game Of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, and about half of A Feast For Crows, then I just stopped. For months. Then one day I picked up A Feast For Crows again right where I had left off and plowed through the rest of it, along with A Dance With Dragons.

Revenge is a dish best served with nice biscuits.

I generally go in cycles of playing more or less games than usual, but I usually play something at least once every couple days

My father warned me about the dangers of alcohol: "never make a martini with too much vermouth"

I tend to play anything I'm actually interested in six months to a year after release.

Its Friday, 4:30pm and I just got home from work.

I take a shower and change clothes, it is now 5:00pm.

From 5-6pm I cook then eat dinner.

6:30 pm I clean my living room, make it spotless as to appear brand new.

7:00 pm - I turn on my xbox 360, insert (Witcher 2, Mass Effect 3, Battlefied 3, Skyrim, etc.)

Slide on my headset, crank the volume. and open up a can of Arizone Arnold Palmer half and half.

7:10pm - 2:00 am

I am no longer a man, I am (A witcher, Galaxy saving space marine, Nord Warrior, Elite Recon/ Support Solider)

I refuse to play a story driven game without an empty house.

Same goes for movies. I hate when you're trying to get into something and someone is making racket or walking around.
