Yep, it's time we had a theread were people recommend games that they've played. I'm on the lookout for some fun games to play, i've been told the prince of persia stuff is good, any opinions? What about that elder scrolls oblivion? Budget games are good too, they are often fun as you can run them at stupid graphics settings without denting performance...

Or, alternatively, everyone can start recommending games!

Right now, I'm playing Legend of Mana, for the second time. It's a badass game with many different ways of playing it. Gotta love beautiful watercolor pastel painting backgrounds.

Pirates!™ as long as you can deal with the 8-bit graphics. Ultimate open ended game on NES.

Privateer. Another open ended game for PC. Old school, kind of suppliments Wing Commander, but this game is more fun. You can capture your enemies and sell them, you can become a bounty hunter, or you can become a pirate and run contraband.

Heretic. 3D shooter style. Way better than Doom 2 as far as plot and gameplay. Not too difficult, but I suck, so it was a challenge for me to beat. There's also an expansion pack that's pretty hard to find.

Quest for Fame.

Air guitar game for PC. They give you a guitar pick with a bigass wire sticking out of it (and a motion detector inside). You supply the tennis racket or air guitar. Story of the game follows a teenage garage band guitarist trying to make it big so he can play with Aerosmith. Very campy, but still fun to play.

I also used to play Lemmings a lot. Pretty cool game, aswell as Dead Of Alive (one of my favorites), Rayman, Jazzy Jackrabbit. There was also a period years ago when I was obsessed with Pokemon and my Gameboy.

I like Motocross Madness a lot too. I don't play it much anymore though. Oh, also Dungeon Keeper. I've never really gotten into it much but my sister played it 24/7 back in the day. So there must be something good about for someone to spend that much time playing it.

The Elder Scrolls: Morrowind is probably my favorite game. You can get the Game Of The Year Edition (which includes the original game, the Bloodmoon expansion, and the Tribunal expansion) for about US $25. This game is the most amazing game... EVER!

I haven't played Oblivion because my computer probably couldn't handle it and because I don't know where I could buy it around here (I know I CAN buy it around here, but I don't know where).

I'm a big fan of the old 3d shooters. All the Doom's, Quake 1 & 2, Heretic 1 & 2, Hexen. All good stuff. For mega cheese factor I have a Duke Nukem 3d pack with some of the expansions in it. It's soo bad it's very, very good.

I know I'm an old fart when games I played growing up aren't even listed in a list of old games, only ones based on their development.

Old 3d PC shooters were pretty fun, but the graphics were meh-meh. Wolfenstein, Blake Stone, etc. Blake stone was great. For it's time, it was pretty realistic (lol) and creepy in a weird medical sort of way.

Oblivion definitely, I bought i a few months ago and it is absolutely awesome. There's so much to do that it will keep you busy for atleast a few months
