Last week I tried opening a document that I needed for English off of the school's website. Well for some reason Word wouldn't open properly and has to be run in safe mode since then.

And for some reason, in safe mode it crashes if you try to open documents.

And I have a shitload of work due tomorow...

Anyone know what could have caused this? Or if there is a way to remedy this besides re-installing Word.

this mite sound odd but just trying doing things a different way like opening from a different screen to normal, call it superstition but works for me because my comp sometimes spacs up about certain things.

for example running battlefield2 if i click on the icon or anyting it dies but if i pull the cd out and stick it in again rite before i do it then it works

That actually makes perfect sense to me. It's a common mistake to expect computers to act rationally. If you treat them like small African deities and trouble-shoot as such, things tend to go a lot better.

Lately Windows Media Player freezes on my computer, but luckily I always use Windows Media Player Classic or VLC Player or sometime BSPlayer, etc.

I borrowed my mom's laptop and finished my work on there.

Four seperate spyware scanners claim I don't have anything...but you know how that is.

Also, I'm not quite sure what to do with the information Hijack this provides you once you are done scanning.
