New to 7-strings...
So first off let me say I've never played a seven string before, use to never want to but now that I've gotten older I'm really interested in getting one. I play in a Deathcore band and am currently playing a Jackson JS32 dinky st tuned down to Drop A and an Epiphone LP standard tuned to drop C. A friend of mine suggested I should switch to 7's, so I was wondering what would be a great 7-string that's affordable and would be an easy transition for me!? I was also looking into a baritone 6, saw Jackson made one awhile back and was wondering it anyone knows anything about them. I really love Jackson guitars so any fore would help. Thanx

For the money the ibanez rg7321 is a great guitar with a thin neck. The agile septors (set bridge) and interceptors (septor with a floyd) from rondo.com are really great too! I would rather have a agile over a lower end jackson personally.

I recently got my first 7 string, and Ibanez RG7321 that was upgraded with seymour duncan blackouts and it is surprisingly good for the price (got it 2nd hand with the pups for $350AU). I would recommend it for a cheap but still reasonable starting point to test

Ibanez RG7620/7420/7621/7421
ESP LTD 7s are pretty cool too "... and on either side of the river was the tree of life. The leaves of this tree were for the healing of nations." "He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle and the herb for the service of man." "Lifes too short to hate Floyd Roses." |

Price range is $300-$550. And so Ibanez would be the best rout to go!?
