Safety notes (eletric shock, hearing loss etc...)

Sorry if this is a bad post.

Please write any advices about how to use eletric units safely all the time, and preventing hearing loss (when do you use hearplugs, maximum volume levels and stuff like that)... I think it would be usefull...

Thanks

if your amp has a bad ground, don't play your guitar in a pool.

if the sound hurts, you should be wearing earplugs.

other than that, you should be ok

I have a radical idea. The door swings both ways,
we could reverse the particle flow through the gate.
We'll cross the streams.

TwickNSisted is on a distinguished road
As long as you don't spill anything all over your amp, you shouldn't have any problems with the electrical equipment. As for earplugs. If you're playing by yourself and its hurting your ears, maybe you should just turn down the amp? When you're playing with a group of people, however, I find it very helpful to buy some of the little foam "noise reduction" earplugs. Those are wonderful because they don't block out sound, but rather, tone it down a bit so that it has the effect of "turning down the volume."

WORD OF ADVICE: Playing in a basement that has recently flooded (and the carpet is still wet) is a bad idea. The guy on vocals got zapped without even touching the mic last time we did this.
