Guitar Scale Length
I've been trying lately to figure out my guitar's scale length, but I just don't know which part's length to measure. Neck, body, both? Any help would be great.
P.S. I've used google, but there's no info on my guitar. |

Measure the distance from the front edge(facing the bridge) of the nut to the center of the 12th fret, then double it. This will give you the guitar's scale.
So: If the distance from the nut to the 12th is 12 3/8", the scale is 24 3/4" If the distance from the nut to the 12th is 12 3/4", the scale is 25 1/2" If the distance from the nut to the 12th is 13 1/4", the scale is 26 1/2" etc etc. |

another way too is to measure from the inside of the nut to where the strings enter the bridge.
We all need to be adopting green energy sources: solar, wind, alternative fuels. we only have one planet to live on.

That depends on the bridge. Manufacturers usually place the bridge so the middle of the intonation adjustment of the saddles is close to the exact scale length. Since we're dealing with less than an inch of variation, I would stick with the nut to the 12th, which is the same for every guitar of a certain scale length.
