Post some pics of the bridge, the headstock and tuners and someone will help...

Ah, that was your first mistake. Kidding.

Sounds like the saddle either slipped or broke. What kind of a guitar do you have? If it's a Floyd-style trem, you probably just need to undo the little bolt that holds it in place (with the string off, of course), and move the saddle back to the correct position, then tighten the bolt back up. This is assuming the bolt just slipped, and nothing broke.

If it's a different type of saddle, though, then something probably did break. It's tough to tell without seeing it, but you may need to replace the saddle (or, possibly, just a screw). Grab a camera and get a pic, and we'll go from there.

Ok, it's a vintage style bridge then. Let's see...

First, it is the saddle that moved, right? The saddle is one of those six little things that the string comes out of the body and rests on before it runs up the neck to the tuning pegs at the headstock.

So, first, compare that saddle to the other five - does the saddle look visibly broken?

Next, look at the screw that holds the saddle to the trem. This is the one that runs parallell with the string - the "head" side you twist to adjust should be pointing towards the back of the body. Has the screw snapped? Has it come out of the saddle? If it just slipped out, it was probably backed out too far anyway and by simply tightening it back up, you should be fine. Note that this screw is the one used to set intonation, so the distance it's tightened actually makes a difference. I'd look up a few pictures of Stratocasters on the net, and eyeball it to get it approximately in line with where it is on the pictures.

Let me know if this solves anything.

K, so I just put a new string on, but it doesnt sound right. Its tuned fine, but it sounds like the Heavy E is an acoustic string and makes a big noise.... Its the same strings as my other ones and is the same as the one i broke.... I know you can't do jack without pics but I'm just worried.

Could anyone get me a real good cost on the bridge on a squier please?

When's the last time you changed your strings? My guess is the rest of the strings are really worn and dull sounding, while the new low E is really crisp and snappy.

By the way, edited your post - try not to refer to something you don't like as "gay." It's not terribly PC.
