What's better, a RG1527 or Esp 407?

I'm not from Germany and ENGLs are too expensive for me at this point in my life. You're right though, they do kick some serious ass! I would like bBilly Corgan if he was a mute. His voice is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard to me. He is a good guitarist though.

Line6 in front of tubes is the best way to use any Line6 stuff IMO

Dog em all you want, no body can touch Mesa in that respect. The amount of abuse mine has suffered at my hands isnt even funny, sometimes I think I dont even deserve to own it because of all the stupid shit that Ive done to it, but it is still in perfect condition. American Tanks in WWII werent built this strong.

See, I kinda like his voice - it's unique, and this is completely out of left feild but it seems to have elements of Robert Johnson in it... It fit his band, anyhow, but please don't judge him on anything after "Siamese Dream" (barring the occasional song that soudned like something off Siamese Dream, such as "Bullet with Butterfly Wings"). When they got poppy, he just got whiney.

but have you guys seen any videos of Billy Corgan way back when? He was a straight shredder.

No, I haven't, but I'd LOVE to. Even with the Pumpkins he could play ("Rhinoceros" has a great solo), and like I said, his phrasing is awesome. Are there any on the web?

Im sure they might be.
I saw it on a bootleg video a few years ago.
A few clips of it surfaced on Vh1 once too I remember.

But yeah, he clearly has some chops from what you can hear in the Pumpkins, but I guess when he was a teen he was all about the shred. I think his over all tone (not to mention a good deal of his gear selection) reflects this.
