I wouldn't get that bass even if simply for the reasons that there's two humongous slipknot logos inlaid into it. I don't have anything against Slipknot, but the only way I'd play a guitar that says I'M IN SLIPKNOT is if I were in slipknot

as far as low metal goes, that bass doesn't really have much going on. I'd much sooner get a 35" Traben 5-string like a Chaos or an Array with an enormous bridgeplate and tune it down to wherever you want it.

However, if you want to play uber low metal, that is definitely not the bass for you. I can tell by looking at it that the scale length is not intended for the "uber low range" (even if it's a Slipknot bass -- which I don't remember the bass player in that band having a bass that looked remotely like that). I'd personally get a 5-string. If you were dead set on a 4-string, I'd get one that was longer -- and not insanely ugly like that.

I didn't want to be the first to say it but yeah that bass is hideous

The guy from slipknot used Warwicks until he got this signature bass, so I guess he's just used to basses that look like they were designed by a 4 year old with a box of crayons
