Bass head to cab connections

Right, I have this Peavey head that has 2 neutrik speakon outputs to go to a cab, but the cab I'm gonna buy just has a single mono jack input. I know you can get speakon to jack cables, but I assume connecting it that way should work okay, and that I won't get a diminished signal just from connecting one of the speakon outputs to the jack socket? Or do I need some kind of two speakon to one jack split cables?

No! The two speakon outputs are for using two cabs. If you have one cab ONLY use one speakon output.

I see, thanks for that. I don't think they'd do 2 speakon - 1jack cables anyway!
