Go listen to Individual Through Patterns, and listen closely to the bass ![]() I don't think I'll play much metal with it at first but when I'll feel comfortable with it, why not ![]() |

I finally got the bass
![]() My first impressions aren't very good honestly : The string spacing at the nut is not too great, it came with horrible flat wounds (the wrapping of the string is damaged at some places) and the low B is totally dead with no tension to it (ie: no sustain at all, just thump thump), the pickups are wired out of phase which means a very thin sound in the middle of the blend knobs , the electronic cavity, while wired and organized with care is not isolated (the bottom of the cavity got some graphite paint but it doesn't go to the top, making it almost useless) , the setup is somewhat bad : harmonics were pretty ok but the neck needs a serious setup. So all in all it's nothing too bad for a 300$ bass but I expected a bit more care due to the rave reviews around here on Rondo's stuffs. expect a pic story soon ![]() |
