I've always wanted a Carvin 6 string bass. I played one in London for 5 minutes and it was possibly the best bass I've ever played. Carvin basses have a feel to them that i really like.

And $500 all in all? You're a lucky man. Very nice!

Help!!!, i really want to get into the bass, im new, very new, i need recommendations for electric bass guitars. ive never played an instument before so what to do! what should i buy???christmas is coming up, how many strings should it have!?!?

Definitely alder. Ash has much more pronounced grain.
