SR905 or SR1005, I can't decide...

I've got a GSR205 and I've been thinking about getting a better 5 string for a long time now, but I can't decide if I want to go for the SR905 or save up a bit more money and get the SR1005EWN.

What do you guys think, is it worth the extra money for the SR1005?

Have you played both? They sound and feel somewhat different. The 905 is made of maple body whereas the 1005 is made with Mahogany with walnut cap. Also, the 1005 gets the individual-string bridge, whereas the 905 doesn't. The 1005 has sweepable mid EQ, where as the 905 has a standard 3 band EQ. They both well made basses, and I don't think you can go wrong with either one. If you think the upgrades are worth the cost, go for the Prestige.

I'd say both are great too. I plan on scoring me a nice 5-string bass and the SRs have always been my favorite basses.

I was almost set on getting the SR905, but then I found this pic of the SR1000,

That walnut looks so nice Unfortunately I haven't had the chance to play either, so I'm just going on reviews at the moment.

^ That has a very high hotness factor! Id love a 5 or 6 string version of it!

It's weird, they make the 4 and 5 string in both Walnut and Flamed Maple, but the 6 string is only available with the Flamed Maple.
