Recommend string gauges
I'm basically a bass noob and I'm only buying a decent cheap one so I can lay down some bass tracks in home recording through either sims or my POD HD500.
Currently I'm torn between two choises (Harley Benton HBZ-2005 or Ibanez SR305-IPT) but they're both 5-stringers and 34" scale. I'll be tuning to standard Bb. Is a .045-.130 set for example anywhere close to a decent tension? |

Yeah, I'd go up to a 135 set if you have the option but that's pretty standard
