NBD Warwick Corvette $$

Got a good deal on this bass and since I sold my Ibanez SR1006EFM I needed a bass for B tuning. This is my first Warwick experience ever and I'm really liking it so far. Very versatile with the series/parallel/single switch for each humbucker as well as active preamp. Perfect for the low tuning - very gnarly and growly! I won't go more in depth yet, as I've only played the bass for 30 mins or so, but here's some sound and pics:

Never heard any Textures, so I'd be surprised

it was just a one-take impro groove where I slapped some drums on afterwards

Haha, yeah, it's pretty beat up! The wax finish gets this wear pretty fast - pick scratches/buckle rash/etc. Had to clean all the hardware, frets, sand the neck a bit and change the strings. I may refinish it one day if I feel like it

Good choice... I have the 5-string $$ and I love the passive humbuckers... there may be better basses out there... but NOTHING snarls like a Warwick!

^I think that is one of the Chinese made $$'s where the one with more knobs is German, but I am no 'wick expert, so someone might be able to clarify that

Yup, that sounds about right! I wouldn't claim to be an expert either, but I have been hunting around long enough to know the difference, haha. The biggest giveaway to me (besides all the knobs and whatnot) is the black hardware versus silver. Black = German, silver = Rockbass.

Anyhow - SO JEALOUS. AUGHHH.

Hardware is not a deciding factor of weither or not they are a Asian made Rock bass lol. My German corvette has chrome hardware and kicks the pants off the rock bass models I've played.

Well yeah, there will always be exceptions haha. I can just say that in my searching for a $$ Vette that about 95% of the ones I've seen that are made in Germany have black hardware and the same regarding chrome and Rock Bass. Was just a quick generalization :P

B standard DI through my Axe into Reaper where I used TSE B.O.D as well as compression and EQ

I'd love a Carvin, but let's just say that for the price I got this, I could get 3 or 4 more and it would still cost about the same as getting a Carvin to Denmark

Nice bass and I also love that Warwick growl!!

My Dolphin has black hardware and is German, look for the bolt on vs through neck to understand the level....me thinks..
