Squier P bass 5 string

Hey guys!

Anyone experience with this bass.

I need a 5 string bass to do some Low B tune and someone is selling this (around USD140) 2nd hand.

Should I get this?

cheers!

I owned one for a while - it's not much of a bass by any means, but if you like the vintage P-Bass sort of tone, it'll definitely provide it.

For $140USD, you'll have a hard time finding anything new with 5 strings that can compete, even from Rondo.

thanks!

i heard they don't ship to my part of the world(malaysia).
I better email them.

i do see some SX in some shops around here. are they any better than squier?

i'm not much of a bassist too. That's why i want to get something cheap 1st.

i have a 2nd hand Yamaha RBX360, it has too much mid range to it and only 4 strings. how does the vintage P-bass tone like? i'm not looking for too much of the midrange tone.

oh i hate you guys, this may be the end to some serious PRS GAS. 270 bucks. http://www.rondomusic.net/ps900amberq.html that price alone is worth the ooo ahh factor even if it doesn't play like a PRS, and if i don't like it, i know just who i could sell it too.
