Carvin electrical issues...
Anybody know why I went to change the battery in my Carvin LB76 and it stopped working? Even put the old battery back in that was working and now nothing. The actives just stopped. Quiet as all hell.
If it's good enough for Tom Morello, it's good enough for me. Women are like Voltron. The more you hook up, the better it gets...

Did you use the correct battery type and voltage? Checked all the solderings inside the guitar? maybe something became loose when you changed the battery.

9v square battery only fits one way, that's not it.. I'm guessing it's a connection under the battery holder that I can't see or get to currently. The electrical cavity itself all the connections are good.

Found it, I wiggled the wires going to the battery compartment, they came out. So, I popped the battery box out, the wires broke off at the solder joint going to the bottom of the battery holder. Easy fix.

Really happy with the bass overall. It plays like a dream. Never thought I be comfortable on a 6er. The neck on this is great, had to lower the B, E, and A strings a bit from previous owners. Now I have to practice enough to need a 6er and not just play on the low strings. Btw, yes it's the LB76 that was for sale here. (so you can see previous pics) I got it on some weird 3 way trade. lol The few dings it has doesn't bother me. Just makes it so I don't have to worry about banging my made in USA Carvin. Already has character. lol

damn thats the purple quilt one im assuming? I really wanted it, but was broke at the time.. Thankfully I found that Bunny Brunel 5 string for $275 a week after, but would still of loved the purple one.
If you ever want to sell it, for around $100-150 above what it sold for.. PM me.. |
