Interview: Mårten Hagstrom of Meshuggah
By Allen Hunter

Mårten Hagstrom
Sevenstring.org: First off Mårten, Sevenstring.org would like to thank you very much for taking time out your busy schedule to answer some questions for all us 7-string nuts here. You have a lot of fans here, as well as those who are curious about Meshuggah's music.

Mårten Hagstrom: That's awesome man. Hope I can give some intelligible answers though.

SS:: What inspired you to pick up an extended range instrument?

Hey thanks everyone, I'm glad I'm able to contribute to this fine site. This place is without question my favorite website, and although I don't make alot of posts, I always stop here every day. There's such a great vibe with a really cool bunch of people, and just a wealth of info here for anyone who loves extended range guitar.
I'll give Marten a shout and let him know it's up, so he can drop by and see it.

Oh, and now as Marten said what we need to do about Ibanez:
A CALL TO ARMS!! (sort of)

EVERYONE!! TIME TO START MAILBOMBING IBANEZ ABOUT A MESH/RG 8!
We keep getting little teaser prototypes, and neverending buzz - let's at least try to organize some sort of mass petition for this. Someone get the right email addy, and let's get at it!
