Jeez... guitar repair help

So... I'm almost in shock. I don't wanna have to write this, but... I broke my brand new guitar it's a tragedy.

I was taking it upstairs when I tripped. From what I can tell the headstock smashed into the step (our stairs are carpeted, thankfully) and the body hit the wall. The neck position strap button came out, though, screw and all. It didn't break a piece off the body, but it came out of the hole it was drilled through. As the screw came out it ripped out the threading which was holding it in place.

The rest of the guitar, thankfully, seems undamaged. I can't even see any dings. Two things concern me though: how can I get the strap button back on? The threading for the screw is gone, so there's nothing to hold it there. I was thinking either wood glue or wood filler, or perhaps a longer screw but of the same width. And secondly (probably less importantly) the initial impact detuned my guitar pretty badly. Is that normal (considering it hit at the headstock) or should I be concerned that I damaged my neck?
