Well im finally gonna post up the ad for this baby. Ive had her since January and I just dont use it as a 7 anymore. Ive been spoiled by the luxury of a 27" scale, and now i just cant go back. So the reason im wanting to trade her is ONE because i dont use it as a seven (ive got it tuned to DADGBEE), and TWO its only a 25.5" scale.
As far as her condition, some of you might remember the post a while back where this baby was being sold from Singapore, and its in the same condition. Shes got 2 dings on the front (not from me), and a couple on the edges of the back (not me again). All these dings are on the outer edge as if the previous owner had banged it up against something. Ill try to capture all the dings that i can.
Here are the specs of the 8527:
*Mahogany body, AAAA Flame maple top (about a 1/4" thick)
*Bound Rosewood fingerboard, with GLOW-IN-THE-DARK side dots!
*Jumbo Frets
*Chrome Edge LoPro 7 trem (currently blocked off, but i can return it to floating if youd prefer)
*EMG81-7 b / EMG 707 n
As far as the mods done, Ive installed an EMG81-7 in the bridge, and a 707 in the neck, with the 18v mod, and Ebonized the fretboard (with Stew Mac dye). The selector switch is a replacement Switchcraft 3 way blade (full neck, full neck + full bridge, full bridge), so it awards you a nice clean tone.
So heres the 6ers that i would really prefer for it:
I really would want a 27" scale 6er, but if in the end i cannot, then Id settle for one of the 25.5" 6ers.
***Ibanez RG1077xl. I knwo this is a long shot, but i know basswood folks are usually dying for a mahogany/maple 7 string.
Ibanez RG970XL (will add cash to sweeten the deal)
Ibanez MTM2 (would expect cash on top of this)
Ibanez RGT models (ie RGT42DXFM trans lavender finish, or RGT320Z)
Those are just to name a few. Im open to ALL offers of 27" scale 6ers, and if i had to sell it, id let her go for $1,000USD plus shipping. I paid 1300 for her back in January, so Im taking a huge hit(which is understandable because of me routing for the EMGs, no matter how clean i cut them). anyways, heres some of the pics i have of the 8527:
