Yes, but it made up for it with slitty-throaty action! haha
Snake Eater is one of those games you have to start off with the first time you play MGS games to really enjoy, I hadn't played the first ones but had watched them, then got hooked to Snake Eater and ended up playing the other ones.
I love Kojima's games in general, Boktai and Zone of the Enders:The Second Runner are phenomenal.
